We are one of New Zealand’s largest and most experienced specialist litigation and public law firms. We are looking for a proactive, organised team coordinator to join our team. This role is 25 hours a week worked over 5 days and requires flexibility to do more hours as required to cover work peaks.

Core duties will include;
Legal
Assist with preparation of legal documents.
Assist with disclosure through use of disclosure software
Assist with maintaining digital files.
Create digital trial files.
Assist with legal research.
Communicate with courts and others on behalf of solicitors as instructed.
Prepare draft reporting emails on instructions from solicitors.
Preparing digital and physical bundles (pleadings and authorities) as required.
Perform administrative court-related tasks.
Office Coordination
Coordinating with essential office suppliers including landlord, stationery, service providers etc. as instructed by a partner or the CEO.
Meet courier and guests arriving in the office.
Ensuring kitchen is clean and tidy.
Administrative support as required by authors.
Assisting with events as required.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
Ideally, candidates will:
A good understanding of basic civil and criminal litigation requirements e.g. intituling on court documents, court locations and contacts.
High level of understanding of legal terminology.
Knowledge of discovery or disclosure software.
Comprehensive knowledge of internal document and case management systems, including a good level of file hygiene skills and the ability to use advanced searches to locate matters or documents within our systems on request.
Communicating with courts and others on behalf of solicitors regarding the preparation of exhibits to affidavits.
The ability to draft reporting emails on instructions from solicitors.
Ability to assist with research using electronic library resources.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to condense large amounts of information succinctly.
Comprehensive ability to complete litigation-related tasks such as preparing bundles (pleadings and authorities), performing administrative court-related tasks eg filing and service of documents, paying filing fees to the Ministry of Justice.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
High level of IT literacy.
