Whakaahurangi is a Law Clerk who primarily attends to writing submissions, research tasks, creating trial files, and writing insights for our website. Prior to her role as a Law Clerk, Whakaahurangi initially joined LCC as the first Ngā Rangahautira Summer Intern in 2024. She recently completed her Bachelor of Arts in Māori Studies and Indigenous Development from Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka - Otago University, and will complete her Bachelor of Laws from Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington in 2026.

Whakaahurangi is fluent in te reo Māori having attended kōhanga reo and kura kaupapa, and is the Co-President of Ngā Rangahautira (Māori Law Students’ Association at Victoria University) for 2025.
